Empire of sin bugs4/12/2023 ![]() When they invade one of your speakeasies or other territories, you’ll use your generic guards against them in firefights which will interrupt your movement in the main map. If not, you’ll end up in a turf war and they will try to take territory off you as you do the same to them. As it increases, notoriety will also allow you to recruit new and stronger characters. Taking over territory by force is cheaper and sends a message, but will also affect your reputation with other gangs, though it’ll always increase your notoriety. Your main characters, all of whom are pre-named characters with skills, backgrounds and also a rather intriguing system of who they like and don’t like, then enter the building and gun down everyone that moves to take it over for your gang. Territory can be bought, semi-legally, or you can take it over with your gang. To quote Pablo Escobar, you can do this with silver or lead. Territory can be grabbed in two basic ways, aside from story events. For example, having one of each type of building nets one sort of bonus whilst having three of the same kind nets a different bonus. The more territory you control, the more money you stand to make, and the variation of your territory, using a system cribbed from hands of poker, will also give you a bonus. Made for a more interesting fight, but probably has nothing to do with the resolution here.Once the game boots up, you can play through a simple tutorial which will take you to owning your first pieces of territory, ranging from safehouses which essentially serve as your HQ, to speakeasies, brothels and casinos. * This probably isn't relevant, but I tried this with ONLY the boss in my party, as I'd been experimenting with theories that party size or somesuch had an effect. I think the key may be NOT to return to your safe house via "fast travel." Instead, walk to your ambush. UPDATE: Playing a second game, I had the same problem, and it didn't work. But I think the game wants/expects you to do that, and gets bugged if you go directly to the safehouse.Īnother contributing problem is that sometimes your "active mission" changes to some unrelated mission once you complete a step, so you may not see an "interaction" icon above Rosie's head, which would encourage the player to stay out in the street. I think the problem is that after the fight, it seems logical in terms of story to just go directly into the safehouse, THEN talk to Rosie, as opposed to chatting with her in the middle of the street next to a bunch of corpses. Amusingly, she actually walked off in an entirely different direction, but the mission was complete. Then, outside the Safehouse, I was able to talk to Rosie, and she basically says thanks, I'll go in your safehouse now. This time, I escorted her and fought the bad guys off*. ![]() Rosie followed, but I couldn't interact with her, so I was stuck.Īfter trial and error, I finally reloaded a save from when I was in, just before the "escort" part. I killed them, then went into the Safehouse. ![]() When you escort Rosie from to your Safehouse, you encounter the enemy outside your front door. Here's what happened and what worked for me as a fix: Hoping this will help others who got stuck on this.
