Framer shark tank4/8/2023 ![]() ![]() Remember that piece that Greg had to watch sailing away from him? Lucky Greg didn’t have to make a trip to France after all – Chloe spotted the piece at Plymouth Lido! It had been an eventful weekend – Greg took a refreshing little dip in a shark tank to retrieve a piece that was probably slightly chewed by the tank inhabitants, none other than Bad Boy Chiller Crew picked up the piece from Sam Fender and took it all the way to Brighton, and after the Radio 1 family have spent hours searching all over the UK, imagine their delight when one landed straight into Matt and Mollie’s lap, literally falling from the ceiling in the Radio 1 studios. With Greg readying himself for a potential swim with sharks later in the afternoon, and pieces flying in all directions across the country, things were looking good for a swift return to the Breakfast Show hot seat! Although, to retrieve all of them by the end of the day, he better be snappy. Remember the pieces in Tramlines with Sam Fender and – Greg thinks – at the cricket in Manchester? And what of the piece on the yacht?! He arrived back in Brighton from his trip to Birmingham with five jigsaw pieces and, with the help of listener Jess, placed them in the lagoon, taking the total of completed pieces to nine!Īs of Friday afternoon, there were a few more pieces still to round up and get to Brighton, and five left out in the wild to discover. There was some good news for Greg, though. Listeners Poppy and Emily called into Matt and Mollie’s show after spotting a piece at Brighton Aquarium in – wait for it – the shark tank! Another frightening challenge awaited, all in the name of completing Radio 1’s Giant Jigsaw. With Greg's swimming trunks just about dried from the previous night's dive on the One Show, he was told he’d need them again on Friday afternoon. Greg posted a picture of Harry with the precious jigsaw pieces so many hundreds of miles away. That idea paid off as well, with eight-year-old Harry discovering a piece at the start of a charity cycle ride to, yes, John O’Groats! ![]() He also asked help from Radio 1 listeners in Cornwall to head to Land’s End after a brainwave that a piece may be at the very southern tip of the UK as well as the north. With Adam on his way to Newcastle on Thursday, pieces were very slowly beginning to move in Greg’s direction. Greg, quickly realising that, of course, Radio 1 won't make this easy for him, exasperated "You could be further away, but only just!”.Įver supportive, Chris Stark – delighted at being given the keys to the Breakfast Show alongside Scott – gleefully realised “this could take ages, couldn’t it!” Even further away was Australian electrician Adam, who found a second jigsaw piece tied to the famous signpost at John O’Groats. First, he heard from Micah in Wrexham, who discovered a piece in a local record shop.
